How we started

Cooking has been in my blood since I was a kid, whipping up delicious meals alongside my mom, a professional chef. With over 30 years in the culinary world, I’ve done it all – from high-end French cuisine and steakhouses to Mexican tapas and sushi. I've even mastered the art of butchering and bulk commissary work. Yeah, I've got skills.

But let’s get real – the spices on the market just weren’t cutting it for me. They were too high in salt and simply not delivering in the flavor department. Inspired by my love for the Philadelphia Eagles, I created the #GoBirds blend, an herbaceous mix that's perfect for poultry, fish, vegetables, or even pasta!

Where did the green beard come from?

That’s easy - from my love of the Eagles. Back in 2017, I dyed my beard green for an Eagles spot on the USA network and never looked back.

GreenBeard Spices is as Philly as it gets. My mission? To serve fellow Philadelphians who want a no-bullshit spice blend that elevates any dish, no matter the cuisine. So, whether you're grilling in the backyard or throwing down in Lot F1 before an Eagles game, I’ve got the spice to make your food sing.

You can often find me teaching at Old City Kitchen, where I offer classes in Knife Skills, Charcuterie, Pizza, and The Five Mother Sauces. And if you’re tailgating at an Eagles game, look for me and my tailgate partner, Eric Wayne of Grilladelphia Barbecue, in Lot F1.

Got a private event or another tailgate party? I’m your guy. I bring the flavor and the fun, right to your doorstep.
